April always feels like the real start of spring — the month when everything turns a little softer and brighter. Blossom starts popping up on the lanes, fresh green appears almost overnight, and if you’re lucky you’ll catch that magical moment when the woods come alive with vibrant bluebells. It’s the perfect time for a reset: a bit of fresh air, a bit of colour, and a small project on the go.
 

If you fancy a simple seasonal mindful moment, we’re loving the idea of a “bluebell walk” — a slow, sensory stroll where you totally tune in, switch off, and come home feeling a little more grounded. This month we’re also giving a little nod to Earth Day with a trick we genuinely love: patching a hole in a sock with a needle-felted heart. It’s cosy, practical, and surprisingly satisfying — the kind of project that makes you feel like you’ve rescued something rather than thrown it away.
 

Katie has also put together a lovely new blog project: 2D Felted Letter Motifs. You’ll be able to download letter templates, decorate them with tiny felted blossoms using a few scraps, and frame the finished piece in an embroidery hoop — a gorgeous spring gift or a sweet little craft-room decoration.
