This knot is so easy that you can master it in seconds and then make all sorts of gorgeous braided bracelets for summer.

You will need:
Half a metre of chunky braided cord - we used Bobbiny 9mm jumbo cord in natural.
An 8mm magnetic clasp - these are available from good craft stores online
A sharp pair of scissors
Some hi-tac fabric glue
STEP 1
Make a small loop in one end of your cord like this. Now bend the cord above the loop slightly.
STEP 2
Push the bent cord through your first loop to make another small loop. Make sure it looks exactly like this.
STEP 3
Pull the short end gently to tighten the first knot. Make sure that your second loop is not too big.
STEP 4
Bend the cord and pull it through again to make a third small loop. Make sure the long tail is always on top.
STEP 5
Try to make the loops the same size. To adjust, pull on the long cord to tighten the previous loop.
STEP 6
Turn your design over. Check that the chain links are the same size and go in the same direction, like this.
STEP 7
Tie 10 or so loops. Check the size against your wrist and then pull the tail through the last loop to fix it.
STEP 8
Check against your wrist to see where to cut the cords and then trim both sides neatly and evenly, leaving enough cord to attach the clasp.
STEP 9
Line the inside of the clasp with hi-tac fabric glue and push the end of the cord into it. You can use a cocktail stick to help poke it in. Attach the other side of the clasp in the same way.
And your stylish rope bracelet ready to wear!
