A set of three 40 gauge triangular felting needles, dipped in dark blue so you can easily identify them in your needle collection.
 
These are the standard needles we use in our beginner needle felting kits and are a brilliant all-round choice for everyday felting. Suitable for a wide range of wool fibres, they’re ideal for smaller projects, shaping, detail work and general felting.
 
Each needle has a triangular shaft with evenly spaced barbs, designed to catch and tangle the wool fibres together to create felt.
 
Their fine 40 gauge makes them especially useful for tidy, controlled work and smaller details, while still being versatile enough to handle coarser wool fibres too.
 
Please take care when using your needles, as felting needles are very brittle and may snap if bent or twisted. Always work on a soft surface such as a sponge, or add a felting mat to your order for extra protection.
